Equipment Introduction
The horizontal rotary cleaning sieve is the core equipment for the pre-cleaning process in grain processing lines. Specially developed for raw grains such as paddy, wheat and corn, it efficiently removes various impurities including large debris, light impurities, shrivelled grains, grass seeds and dust, providing clean feedstock for subsequent rice milling, flour-milling and oil-extraction processes. Featuring a unique compound horizontal rotary motion, it outperforms conventional vibrating sieves with more uniform screening, higher impurity removal rate and minimum material breakage. It is widely used in medium-and large-scale grain processing plants.
Working Principle
Its key advantage lies in three continuously-changing motion trajectories generated on the sieve body for successive cleaning stages:
1. Infeed section: Approximate side-to-side oscillation After materials enter the sieve body, side-to-side oscillation of the sieve deck quickly spreads and automatically stratifies materials to prevent local accumulation, evenly distributing raw materials across the full sieve surface for subsequent screening.
2. Middle section: Planar circular motion The middle sieve body performs steady uniform circular rotation. Materials move smoothly along with the sieve deck. Large-size impurities (straws, stones) and fine impurities (fine sand, dust) are separated according to particle size, greatly improving screening efficiency.
3. Discharge section: Forward-and-back reciprocating motion At the sieve outlet, the sieve body switches to forward-and-back reciprocating movement, which rapidly pushes large and coarse impurities to the discharge port to avoid residue. Combined with front-and-rear air suction units, light impurities and dust are thoroughly extracted to minimize on-site dust emission. Moreover, four-corner steel-rope suspension ensures smooth operation. Multi-layer screen meshes realize integrated functions of stratification, impurity removal and dust elimination.
3. Main Application Scenarios
1. Rice / paddy processing lines Serves as the primary cleaning step for incoming paddy. It removes straws, stones, shrivelled grains and dust, supplying pure raw materials for subsequent husking and rice milling, and improving finished rice purity and milled-rice yield.
2. Wheat / flour processing Removes wheat straws, stones and grass seeds, reducing wear on downstream milling machinery and guaranteeing flour quality.
3. Coarse grain processing Performs primary cleaning for corn, sorghum, highland barley, coix seed and other coarse grains. Impurities are eliminated before further processing such as dehulling and milling.
4. Distilleries / feed mills Cleans impurities from brewing raw materials (sorghum, rice) and feed materials (corn, soybean). It improves rawmaterial utilization and reduces equipment wear.
